What do you like about athletics?: I just enjoy running and it helps me train for football. Running with other people is also a lot of fun.

Most memorable moment in athletics: Participating in our competitions, especially our first home competition. I was injured for most of the season, so it was also nice to take part in my last competition for the regional championships.

Hardest moment in athletics: After our (second) competition, I injured my groin. I couldn’t run for a while and had to go to rehab, which was tough for me. I ran in two competitions at the beginning of the season and then in district and regional competitions. Because of the injury, I couldn’t even jog and had to go to rehab. Also, I wasn’t even on the track with the team for most of the season.

Three people to have dinner with, dead or alive: I’d say family. I don’t know anyone else I’d want to be with. My mom and dad, that would be nice; I’d say an old relative would be really nice. That would be pretty cool. Any of them, actually.

Who influences you the most in terms of sport?: My family. My older sibling (Derrick) and my father, he did a lot of sport.

Favorite teacher: Miss (Holly) Conde (for chemistry). She’s pretty nice. I like her teaching style. My math teacher too, Mr. (Noah) Miller. He’s really laid back. Those are my two favorites.

Favorite athlete: Kobe Bryant

Favorite sports team: Dallas Cowboys

Favorite movie: I like the “Fast & Furious” movies

Favorite TV show: Sports TV

Favorite song: I don’t really have a favorite song. I like a lot of older music like classic rock.

Favorite food: I love chicken Alfredo. I love homemade and especially Olive Garden.

Worst thing you’ve ever eaten: Cucumbers. I hate cucumbers.

Plans after high school: I’m going to college, probably in the construction field, the same majors as my dad, or physical fitness because I play so many sports. My dad is a contractor and handyman.
