Brutalist villa in Beverly Hills for sale for million

LOS ANGELESOakley founder James Jannard is selling his brutalist-style Beverly Hills estate for $68 million, a week after selling his Malibu mega-mansion for a record-breaking $210 million.

The billionaire’s cement fortress sits atop a 90,000-square-foot cliff in the lush Trousdale Estates, Realtor.com reports. Jannard and his architects reportedly took inspiration from Stonehenge for the exterior.

The 18,000-square-foot home has five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and a brutalist interior with bare concrete walls and floors, high ceilings, an industrial-style mantel and custom furniture, according to Realtor.com.

Other amenities include a theater, a gym, an elevator, a wine cellar and an infinity pool.

Jannard bought the house in 2009 for $19.9 million.

An influential social media page, @ZillowGoneWild, shared photos showing what the house looks like inside:

It’s a “modest” offering compared to his 9.5-acre oceanfront mansion in Malibu, which sold to a private buyer for $210 million – the largest real estate transaction in California history. The 15,000-square-foot estate sits on nearly 10 acres on a cliff and has its own private stretch of oceanfront near El Pescador State Beach.

The three most expensive home sales in California history are in Malibu – Jannard’s home, that of Jay-Z and Beyoncé, and that of venture capitalist Marc Andreesen, who bought a $177 million estate in Paradise Cove in 2021.

According to Forbes, Jannard’s estimated net worth is $1.3 billion.
