Do you want to see a Family Guy movie?

Movies based on irreverent, adult-oriented sitcoms are not uncommon and can be very lucrative. South Park capitalized on its own success early in the series with Bigger, Longer & Uncut, which remains a popular franchise offering among fans to this day. The Simpsons Movie was even more successful, coming out at a time when people were starting to think the yellow family no longer had anything new or exciting to offer viewers. Family Guy admittedly has one cinematic disadvantage compared to the other two series: while all three are thoroughly absurd, The Simpsons and South Park tend to focus more on plot-heavy endeavors. Family Guy is known for just the opposite—its most haunting moments often have nothing at all to do with the episodes they appear in. This could make a feature-length version of the series difficult. A direct-to-video version was released in the mid-2000s with some success – that film was eventually split into three separate episodes and broadcast in that format, as is sometimes done. Reportedly, Seth Macfarlane has been toying with the idea of making a Family Guy movie for years. Is that something you’d like to see? Why or why not?
