Due to construction, lane restrictions are expected on I-10 and US 60.

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — No major highway closures are planned for this weekend, but drivers should be aware of some restrictions on Valley highways.

Motorists should expect lane restrictions on Interstate 10 and US 60 near the Broadway curve due to construction.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, a section of westbound I-10 near Sky Harbor Airport will be narrowed to three lanes this weekend for construction.

Please note the following lane changes:

  • I-10 westbound will be narrowed to three lanes between Broadway Road and 24th Street from 10:00 p.m. Friday to 9:00 p.m. Sunday for bridge and barrier construction as part of the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project.
  • The westbound I-10 on- and off-ramps at 40th Street and the southbound SR 143 ramp to westbound I-10 will be closed.
  • Due to work on the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project, westbound US 60 will be narrowed to two lanes between Priest Drive and I-10 from 10:00 p.m. Friday to 9:00 p.m. Sunday.
  • The I-17 southbound ramp at Loop 303 will be closed Friday and Saturday nights from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. And from Sunday, 9:00 p.m., to Monday, 5:00 a.m., due to a highway improvement project.

Additionally, motorists should plan ahead before heading to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for the Fourth of July. TSA officials expect over three million travelers this holiday weekend.
