U.S. Army Brigadier General Walter R. Ross Jr. presents Col. Cesar V. Pudiquet with his retirement certificate at the 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Readiness Center in Kapolei, Hawaii, on June 28, 2024. Pudiquet joined the Hawaii Air National Guard in 1986 and transferred to the HIARNG in 1999, where he served 37 years and 10 months before retiring. Pudiquet served in several state response missions, including as Commander of Task Force Kauai supporting the 2018 Wainiha flood disaster, Commander of Task Force Hawaii supporting the 2018 Kilauea volcanic eruption, Commander of Task Force Maui during the COVID-19 response, and J4 Logistics Officer of Joint Task Force 5-0 supporting wildfire suppression on Maui in 2023, making him one of the few HIARNG officers to command troops in every county in the State of Hawaii.
