Lane signs professional contract with BBC Les Sangliers Wooltz

Recently completed Grand Canyon Olivia Lane has signed a professional contract with Luxembourg’s BBC les Sangliers Wooltz and will join the team next season.

BBC les Sangliers Wooltz plays in the Luxembourg Basketball League and finished the 2023/24 regular season 8-8. The season runs from September to March.

Lane will add size and rebounding power to a team that had an average height of 5’7″ last season. The 6’2″ forward averaged 9.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game last season (GCU best), including 106 offensive rebounds (WAC best). Lane was just one rebound shy of 200 last season and had 26 steals and nine blocks while making 50% of his shots from the field and 79% of his free throws (team best).

A native of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, Lane spent her first three college seasons at North Dakota. She arrived in Phoenix ahead of the 2022-23 season and finished her GCU career averaging 10.2 points and 5.7 rebounds.

For her career, Lane averaged 9.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 0.6 steals per game and had over 100 rebounds in four of her five seasons, reaching a milestone with her 1,000th point at Tarleton State on Jan. 13.
