New location for Veterans Service Office and Farmworker Resource Program announced

VENTURA, Calif. – The Human Services Agency’s Veterans Services Office and Farmworker Resource Program will relocate beginning July 1.

VENTURA, Calif. – The Human Services Agency’s Veteran Services Office (VSO) and Farmworker Resource Program (FRP), currently located at 2901 N. Ventura Rd. in Oxnard, are relocating to The Palms facility in Oxnard, 2000 Outlet Center Dr., Suite C-220. VSO and FRP staff will begin serving the public from this new location beginning Monday, July 1.

VSO’s fully accredited veterans’ claims adjusters provide information, referrals, claim preparation and filing, and follow-up service to ensure veterans, their dependents, and survivors receive the benefits they are entitled to. All services are provided free of charge. Veterans and their family members can also meet with claims adjusters at field offices in Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, and Simi Valley. Veterans and family members who would like to speak with a VSO representative by phone or schedule an in-person appointment can call 805-477-5155.

The FRP works to build trust and relationships with farmworkers in Ventura County. FRP staff help quickly resolve workplace issues, navigate public agencies, and access other available resources. Services are offered free of charge. The FRP offers branch offices in Santa Paula and Fillmore, and extended hours on weekdays and weekends to meet the needs of farmworkers throughout the county.
