Woman realizes that her service dog is “manipulating” her Chipotle Stock Alert: Get Ready for the Launch as CMG Reports Earnings Today

As we enter the dog days of summer, more and more polls and predictions for the 2024 college football season are being released. With each day that gets closer to the start of the season, more and more rankings and polls are being released.

A college football guru, Phil Steele, has released his 2024 power rankings and Virginia Tech has moved up to No. 17 on his list from seven spots in the spring. In fact, the Hokies are closing in on three ACC schools ranked ahead of them: Miami is No. 10, Clemson is No. 13 and Florida State is No. 14. Virginia Tech will play both the Hurricanes and Tigers this fall.

“Defensive end Antwaun Powell-Ryland’s decision to return for his final season is a huge boost for Virginia Tech’s defense after he posted a team-best 9.5 sacks last fall. Leading tackler Keli Lawson is back in the middle along with most of a star-studded secondary. That unit under Brent Pray should be one of the league’s best if it can stay healthy. On offense, dual-threat quarterback Kyron Drones is back for another year along with the Hokies’ best running back, Bhayshul Tuten, who rushed for 863 yards and 10 scores as a junior.”

Both sides of the ball have a chance to be good for Virginia Tech this season, but Steele is right: If they stay healthy, the Hokies’ defense could be one of the best, if not the best, unit in the ACC with all the players Brent Pry and Chris Marve have on that side of the ball and some key transfers out of the portal.

On offense, the Hokies will run the game like Kyron Drones and Bhayshul Tuten, not to mention a talented wide receiver group and their experienced offensive line. Phil Steele usually knows what he’s talking about, and that’s another reason for Hokies fans to look forward to the fall.
