What game have you always wanted to play but never found the right time?

Major life events can sometimes force us to pause a playthrough, as can things like technical glitches and game fatigue. In an ideal world, we’d jump right back into the game once things calm down, but that’s sometimes easier said than done. My Final Fantasy 15 save file somehow got corrupted when I was about three-quarters through. I watched the ending online, but also vowed to go back and play the game in its entirety at some point. That was almost eight years ago now, and while I still want to replay FFXV at some point, even today I find it hard to find the motivation to start over.

Opinion: Games don’t have to be super realistic

Many gamers enjoy their favorite games because they allow them to escape reality and explore worlds beyond our imagination. As technology advances, we’re seeing a level of realism that’s making games look very much like movies with real actors. I don’t think we necessarily need to make it any more realistic than it already is, and many big-name developers shouldn’t be afraid to go back a little in their art style if it suits the title they’re working on. I don’t need top-notch, ultra-lifelike graphics to immerse myself in a game. Do you like the direction graphics are going, or have you seen enough?

Opinion: I don’t need VR video games

Personally, the idea of VR video games has never really appealed to me. Of course, everyone’s tastes are different, so good luck if you’re a big fan of VR platforms. But I don’t think I’d ever want to move away from the standard console experience. When I have some free time, I’d rather sit back with a controller in hand and experience my favorite games rather than strap on the VR gear and turn it into a more physically demanding hobby. What do you think, do you agree or do you have a different view?

If you could bring back a deceased character from Attack on Titan, who would you choose and why?

I would have to bring back Ymir (with freckles). While other more significant characters might be others’ first choice, I can’t help but feel very sympathetic for Ymir. She was probably the most selfless character in the series. Ymir grew up an orphan and was then taken off the streets and forced into the role of a sacred deity for the followers of the original Ymir. Not only did she take the blame and sacrifice her life once for the people of this cult she was forced into, but gave her life up again when she finally got a chance at freedom. Ymir didn’t have to sacrifice herself willingly, but had such a strong moral compass that she knew that not only would she give back the power she unknowingly and unwillingly stole from Marley, but she would also make a deal to protect Historia, who was closest to her. I feel she deserved a chance to finally live freely without having to hide parts of herself or carry other people’s burdens. I guess that’s why she wanted Historia to live for herself so much.

Which Elden Ring Ash of War is the most useful?

The “best” Ash of War varies depending on the weapon. However, the Savage Lion’s Claw on the Blacksteel Greathammer is one of the most broken combinations I found in the DLC. Savage Lion’s Claw is the better version of Lion’s Claw, which is already one of the most reliable AoWs in the base game.

Which of your Sims did you have the greatest emotional connection with?

Of all my Sims, Ellie Scary was my favorite to play with. She was my founder’s second child and was an adorable Sim. She wasn’t supposed to be the heir, but I ended up liking playing with her more than her sister. I changed her lifespan to long and had her go to high school and then study music at university; she mastered guitar, piano, violin, and singing. In addition, she also reached the peak of her career. Ellie had two children, but I still couldn’t stop playing with her even when they were grown. She is now a retired elder living in Sulani. She decided to put music tutorials online to teach her audience how to play, and she is raising one of her grandchildren. To prevent her from dying of old age, I turned her into a mermaid, but her save file is currently on hold until I decide what I want to do next.
